I loove this spread for its earthy and savory taste. It will work great on toasted bread. Adding some basil to the mix will give it even more flavor.

Walnut & Mushroom Paté
- 75 grams roasted walnuts
- 100 grams mushrooms
- 1 medium shallot
- 1 garlic glove
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- handful of fresh basil
- salt & pepper
- Start by roasting the walnuts on medium high heat until browned. Set aside.
- Cook the onions, garlic and mushrooms.
- Add the cooked vegetables along with the walnuts, basil and the spices to a food processor and let it run until a smooth paste* forms. Adjust seasoning if needed.
