Walnut & Mushroom Paté
A super tasty paté, perfect as a bread spread
handful of fresh basil
salt & pepper
Start by roasting the walnuts on medium high heat until browned. Set aside.
Cook the onions, garlic and mushrooms.
Add the cooked vegetables along with the walnuts, basil and the spices to a food processor and let it run until a smooth paste* forms. Adjust seasoning if needed.
You can either make it very smooth or leave the mixture a bit coarse. I like the texture of it when it's a bit more coarse and rougher, but still easy to spread on a slice of bread.
