Walnut & Mushroom Paté

A super tasty paté, perfect as a bread spread

  • 75 grams roasted walnuts
  • 100 grams mushrooms
  • 1 medium shallot
  • 1 garlic glove
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • handful of fresh basil
  • salt & pepper


  • Start by roasting the walnuts on medium high heat until browned. Set aside.
  • Cook the onions, garlic and mushrooms. 
  • Add the cooked vegetables along with the walnuts, basil and the spices to a food processor and let it run until a smooth paste* forms. Adjust seasoning if needed. 


You can either make it very smooth or leave the mixture a bit coarse. I like the texture of it when it's a bit more coarse and rougher, but still easy to spread on a slice of bread.
